Fourth of July weekend festivities are well underway in Park Rapids. The PRCA rodeo drew a good crowd Thursday with two full nights of professional bull riding Friday and Saturday. Gates open at 5 p.m. and bull riding begins at 6:30 p.m.

Fourth of July weekend festivities are well underway in Park Rapids. The PRCA rodeo drew a good crowd Thursday with two full nights of professional bull riding Friday and Saturday. Gates open at 5 p.m. and bull riding begins at 6:30 p.m.

The Firecracker Footrace kicks off the July 4 activities with the 5K race and fun run in Heartland Park. The Park Rapids parade is at 5 p.m., starting at the fairgrounds and running through the downtown route. The Park Rapids Community Band performs at 7:30 p.m. in Heartland Park in preperation for the annual fireworks display which blasts off at dusk.
