Three people were arrested Tuesday night after a month-long marijuana investigation in Alexandria.

Agents from the West Central Minnesota Narcotics Task Force and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension made arrangements to deliver 20 pounds of marijuana to Dale Martin Trudell, 48, of Alexandria in exchange for $8,000, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

The exchange took place in the Holiday Inn parking lot in Alexandria.

Agents arrested Trudell, along with Jordan Lee Trisco, 19, of Osakis without incident, according to authorities.

Authorities said they would both be charged with felony third degree controlled substance crimes. Trudell also faces a separate charge of child endangerment.

The agents then executed a search warrant at 916 Irving Street, the residence where they believed the marijuana was being distributed.

Agents say they located evidence of marijuana distribution at the residence. They also arrested Debra Rae Trudell, 45, of Alexandria on charges of child endangerment.

Three children who were at the residence were taken into protective custody by Douglas County Social Services.

The three suspects remain in custody at the Douglas County Jail.

The Alexandria Police Department and the Douglas County Sheriff's Office assisted in the investigation.
