A Ponsford woman convicted of biting Becker County corrections officers has been sentenced.
Samantha Shantel Burk, 20, will spend 37 days in jail with credit for time served.
Burk was arrested on March 25 for shoplifting at Walmart. According to the report filed with the Becker County Courthouse, when authorities arrived to take Burk into custody, she resisted arrest, then began banging her head against the plexiglass of the squad car. Once at the jail, she bit two corrections officers in the legs. Officers also found a bite mark on her own leg as well.
