A 39-year-old Pelican Rapids, Minn., man was killed Saturday in an automobile accident north of the city.
Sgt. Barry Fitzgibbons of the Otter Tail County Sherriff's Office said Petro Pribyshchuk was traveling southbound on County Highway 9. There is a slight curve to the east in the road near 260th Street, Fitzgibbons said, and Pribyshchuk lost control of the vehicle on that curve. He entered the east ditch and rolled the vehicle, Fitzgibbons said. Pribyshchuk was ejected.
Emergency responders got the call at 12:40 p.m. Pribyshchuk was transported to St. Mary's Innovis Health in Detroit Lakes, Minn., where attempts to revive him were unsuccessful, Fitzgibbons said.
