A 31-year-old Park Rapids woman was arrested Tuesday, March 15 and accused of possessing 38 grams of methamphetamine.
According to the criminal complaint filed in Hubbard County District Court, Jennie Marie Cutter, 31, faces two felony counts of first degree sale of 10 grams or more of methamphetamine, and first degree controlled substance possession.
Hubbard County Sheriff’s Department officer received information Cutter was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. The officer received additional information Cutter was returning to Park Rapids after recently purchasing meth in Mounds View.
At approximately 12:15 a.m. Cutter was spotted driving westbound on Highway 34 in her 1997 Honda Accord and was pulled over by a Hubbard County deputy.
According to the officers’ statements Cutter was "very nervous". When informed by the officer they had information she was in possession of controlled substances, and that he was going to have is dog conduct a K-9 sniff, Cutter allegedly said she would get the drugs from the vehicle.

She retrieved a bag containing methamphetamine and two metal tins containing meth, according to the complaint. The K-9 conducted a sniff and alerted to a box in the back seat of the vehicle, which field tested positive for meth and weighed approximately 38 grams, this according to the complaint.
In her statement to the officer, Cutter told him that the meth was hers and that she bought the drugs for $1,500 that night in Mounds View. She also allegedly said she uses and sells the meth in the Park Rapids area.
The penalty on each count is 30 years and/or $1,000,000 fine.
Todd County bust
Angel Obidio Calix, 52, of rural Staples was arrested on a criminal complaint issued by the Todd County Attorney’s Office for four counts of First Degree Sales of a Controlled Substance.
Agents of the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force, West Central Minnesota Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and agents of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, along with members of the Todd County Sheriff’s Office, Staples Police Department, and Wadena County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence and auto body business in Villard Township.
The search warrant was executed in connection to an active investigation being conducted in the sales of methamphetamine in the Staples area.
