Park Rapids School will be closed for Tuesday, Jan. 29 through Wednesday January 30 due to dangerously cold wind chills forecast for the area.  According to the National Weather Service, wind chills as low as 65 below zero are expected for portions of central, north-central, northwest and west-central Minnesota from 2 a.m. Tuesday to noon Thursday. These wind chills can cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as five minutes.
