Park Rapids man receives 20 years for molesting 10-year-old

   A Park Rapids man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for repeatedly molesting a young girl. Samuel Charles Baxa, 28, was convicted of felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct.        Detroit Lakes Police officers received a report of a possible sexual assault on Nov. 5, 2013. According to court reports, the girl, who was 10 years old at the time, told authorities that Baxa had been having sexual contact with her, including penetration, for the past six months. It reportedly happened several times while Baxa was in an apartment with the girl alone.   Baxa admitted to another male acquaintance that he had had sexual contact with her twice. The girl was taken into foster care.
