Scoring points in 14 events led the Park Rapids girls track and field team to another title Friday afternoon at Walker.
The Panthers won their third title of the season by using a balanced attack to tally 130 points to win the team title at the May Day Invitational. Pequot Lakes finished second with 122 points while Nevis placed fourth with 78 points.
Kyja Penning, Laura Haugland, Kayla Stursa and Victoria Lutz led off the meet by winning the 4 x 800-meter relay in 10:34.09. Lydia Lutz led the field in the 1,600 run in 12:59 and Molly Best took first place in the shot put with a toss of 27 feet, 6 inches.
Adding runner-up efforts for Cory Hill's team were the 4 x 100 relay team of Rachel Thelen, Sarah Guida, Leah Goetz and Tracey Peterson (55.1); Danielle Kent in the 300 hurdles (55.2); Victoria Lutz in the 800 run (2:32.72); Kayla Stursa in the 3,200 run (13:15); Haugland in the high jump (4-10); and Penning in the pole vault (7-6).
In third place were Kent in the 100 hurdles, Tiffany Deitchler in the 1,600 run, Nicole Knott in the shot put, Ayana Hartman in the high jump, Hannah Wolff in the triple jump and Thelen in the pole vault. The 4 x 400 relay team of Victoria Lutz, Lydia Lutz, Penning and Hartman also placed third.

Leading Nevis were Sophie Shogren (who won the 800 run in 2:32.7) and Kjera Gustafson (who won the discus with a toss of 82-3 ?). Jessica Schunk finished second in the 100 dash in 13.1 and Megan Stambaugh took second in the 400 dash in 1:04.
In the boys meet, Park Rapids finished sixth out of 10 teams with 21 points and Nevis was seventh with 17 points. W-H-A took first with 133.50 points.
Brian Schuldt won the 3,200 run in 10:55 to lead the way for Nevis while Caleb Brown cleared 10-6 in the pole vault and Devon Ondracek threw the discus 105-8 for fourth place to lead the Panthers.
