Park Rapids Fire Department's sudsy fundraiser finds success

Firefighters washed all manner of vehicles on Saturday, July 3.

The car wash is a fundraiser for the Park Rapids Fire Department.

The Park Rapids Fire Department erected a drive-through car wash Saturday, July 3, complete with a soapy scrub, rinse and spot-free spray.

The second annual event raises money for the fire hall. Freewill donations were accepted.

“We’ve had tourists come through, locals, friends and family,” said firefighter Crystal Krautkremer. “It’s been a nice mix of vehicles.”

She reported that they cleaned 109 cars, along with two trailers, one boat, one fish house and one cattle trailer.
