Zach Knapp's power-play goal with 5:19 to play lifted the Park Rapids-Menahga boys hockey team to a 2-1 win over the Northern Lakes Lightning Thursday night at the Ted O. Johnson Ice Arena.
Zach Lehrke's unassisted goal at the 5:00 mark of the first period gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead before the Lightning tied the game with 2:11 to play in the first period on a power-play goal.
After a scoreless second period, Lehrke and Tucker Coborn set up Knapp for the game-winner on a 5-on-3 power-play opportunity. Goalie Mark Smith preserved the win by finishing with 23 saves as the Panthers improved to 12-0 on the season. Northern Lakes fell to 9-3-1.

The Park Rapids boys swimming and diving team defeated Perham 93-90 at the Area High School pool.

The Park Rapids wrestling team split matches at the Century School gym, defeating Staples-Motley 48-24 and dropping a 54-20 decision to Pequot Lakes/Pine River-Backus.
Cass Lake-Bena jumped out to a 46-17 lead at the half en route to an 85-35 victory over the Nevis boys basketball team.
The Menahga girls basketball team defeated Bertha-Hewitt 78-72.
