For the second time this season, the Park Rapids boys tennis team defeated Wadena-Deer Creek by a 6-1 margin in a Mid-State Conference match.
The Panthers swept the three doubles matches and won the bottom three singles matches Tuesday at Wadena to improve to 4-1 in the conference and 5-2 overall this spring.
Alex Renner prevailed at No. 2 singles with a pair of tiebreaker victories while Ryan Kent and Steve Smith posted straight-set wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles.
Ben Waller and Joe Pen-ning didn't lose a game at No. 1 doubles, Brady Pederson and Ted Tiffany lost only three games at No. 2 doubles, and Kyle Dickinson and Max Brown lost only two games at No. 3 doubles to spark the win.
