Kevin McMorrow's 1-yard touchdown run in overtime lifted the Park Rapids football team to a 13-7 victory over Wadena-Deer Creek Friday night.

Park Rapids took a 7-0 lead in the season opener on a 14-yard TD pass from Danny Pike to Tucker Coborn late in the second quarter.

W-DC tied the game on a 3-yard TD pass from Kevin Tumberg to Logan Meyer with 7:56 to play in the fourth quarter.

In overtime, Kyle Kanten intercepted a Tumberg pass on third down to end W-DC's first possession.

Park Rapids won the game when John Drury gained 9 yards on first down and McMorrow plunged into the end zone on the next play to make Aaron Morris' debut as the Panthers' head coach a successful one.
