A sweep in doubles and wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles led the Park Rapids girls tennis team to a pair of Mid-State Conference victories Thursday at the Depot Courts.
Mindy Lawrence and Mary Kading lost only two games at No. 1 doubles while the No. 2 doubles team of Alyssa Klingenberg and Alyssa Carlson and the No. 3 doubles team of Dena Johanning and Rachel Thelen combined to lose only two games to lead the Panthers to a 5-2 win over Crosby-Ironton.
Bonnie Baumgartner won a first-set tiebreaker en route to the win at No. 3 singles and Katie Walsh posted a straight-set win at No. 4 singles.
Emily Klingenberg added a 6-1, 6-0 win in an exhibition singles match.
The Panthers used the same formula to post a 5-2 win over Detroit Lakes in Thursday's other match.

Lawrence and Kading lost only two games at No. 1 doubles while the Klingenberg/Carlson and Johanning/Thelen duos didn't drop a game.
Baumgartner and Walsh sealed the win with straight-set victories in singles play.
Emily Klingenberg posted a 6-0, 6-0 victory in another exhibition singles match.
The sweep lifted the Panthers to 2-1 in the conference and 7-1 overall entering Tuesday's conference match at Wadena. Nicole Brandt's team hosts Staples-Motley in another Mid-State match Thursday afternoon.
