Tucker Coborn caught a pair of touchdown passes to spark the Park Rapids football team to a 28-13 Heart O'Lakes Conference and Section 8AAA victory over East Grand Forks Friday night at Vern Weekley Field.
Coborn followed a 5-yard TD run by Kevin McMorrow with a 34-yard TD catch from Kevin Vaadeland and a 51-yard TD catch from Dylan Walsh as the Panthers built a 21-0 lead at the half.
Vaadeland's 15-yard TD run with 1:30 to play sealed the win as Park Rapids improved to 2-0 on the season.
On Thursday, the Park Rapids girls tennis team dropped a 5-2 Mid-State Conference decision to Staples-Motley at the Depot Courts while the Park Rapids volleyball team was defeated by Wadena-Deer Creek 25-18, 25-14, 25-7 in another conference battle.
