Staples-Motley won titles at all seven positions to capture the Mid-State Conference girls tennis title Saturday at Park Rapids.
The Cardinals repeated as conference champs with 42 points while Park Rapids earned runner-up honors with 26 points. Pequot Lakes was third in this seven-team tournament with 21 points.
Megan Lawrence led the Panthers with a runner-up finish at No. 1 singles. Park Rapids also took third at three positions: Holly Roepke at No. 2 singles, Bailey LaCoursiere at No. 4 singles, and Mindy Lawrence and Mary Kading at No. 1 doubles.
Allison Lempola finished fourth at No. 3 singles, Alyssa Klingen-berg and Alyssa Carlson took fourth at No. 2 doubles, and Dena Johanning and Rachel Thelen placed fourth at No. 3 doubles to help the Panthers claim runner-up honors.
"Considering the level of competition, we played very well," said Park Rapids head coach Nicole Brandt.

Panthers defeat Lakers
The Panthers tuned up for the conference meet with a 5-2 victory at Detroit Lakes Thursday.
Megan Lawrence won in straight sets at No. 1 singles and Lempola prevailed in three sets at No. 3 singles as the Panthers split the four singles matches.
In doubles, Mindy Lawrence and Kading won at the No. 1 spot, Klingenberg and Carlson won at the No. 2 positions, and Thelen and Johanning were victorious at the No. 3 spot as the Panthers swept the doubles matches in straight sets to defeat Detroit Lakes by a 5-2 margin for the second time this season.
The win gave the Panthers a 5-1 record against conference foes and a 7-4 overall mark in dual meets.
