Four different players scored goals and five different players had assists as the Park Rapids-Menahga boys hockey team skated to a dominant 4-1 win over Lake of the Woods Friday night at the Ted O. Johnson Ice Arena.
The Panthers held a 49-11 advantage in shots on goal in improving to 6-0 against Section 8A teams and 17-0 overall.
Goals by John Paulouski and Zach Lehrke gave the Panthers a 2-0 lead after the first period. Cody Schir-mers assisted on Paulou-ski's goal at the 14:20 mark and Curtis Tolle set up Lehr-ke at the 12:20 mark. The Panthers had a 20-3 edge in shots in the opening period.
After a scoreless second period, the Panthers extended their lead to 4-0 behind goals by Zach Knapp and Brandon Mickelson. Tucker Coborn assisted on Knapp's goal with 15:00 to play while Lehrke and Colter Hensel set up Mickelson with 7:52 remaining.
Lake of the Woods avoided the shutout when Danny Usiski scored with 5:47 to play. The Panthers outshot Lake of the Woods 20-5 in the final period.

Park Rapids goalie Mark Smith made 10 saves. The loss dropped LOW to 2-4-1 against section opponents and 3-15-1 overall.
The Panthers host Thief River Falls in a key section game Thursday night.
