The Park Rapids boys swimming and diving team closed out its dual-meet schedule with a win last Tuesday night.
The Panthers won eight of the first 10 events before swimming exhibition en route to a 101-76 victory over Thief River Falls at the Area High School pool. The win gave Park Rapids a 3-3 record in dual meets this season.
Matt Lalli, Jake Sheeran, Colton Storseth and Devon Ondracek opened the meet by winning the 200-yard medley relay in 1:56.46 while Jared Storseth, Kyle McBrady, Sam Goebel and Nate Schmidgall tied for second in 2:11.52.
Bryce Klasen won the 200 freestyle in 2:07.25 while Lawrence and Sheeran went 1-2 in the 200 individual medley with respective times of 2:13.01 and 2:29.69. After three events, the Panthers held a 31-15 advantage.
After a 2-3 showing by Colton Storseth and Ondracek in the 50 freestyle, the Panthers went 1-2-3 in diving as Lalli led the way with 224.60 points. Nick Belfiori and Jon Koch followed.

Lawrence (59.24) and Klasen (1:09.16) went 1-2 in the 100 butterfly as the Panthers extended their lead to 63-27.
Kevin Merfeld won the 500 freestyle with a 6:00.79 before Lawrence, Klasen, Ondracek and Lalli led the field in the 200 freestyle relay with a 1:43.82. A 1-2 showing by Colton Storseth (1:02.02) and Jared Storseth (1:11.00) in the 100 backstroke pushed the lead to 101-51.
Park Rapids swam exhibition in the final two events. Sheeran would have won the 100 breaststroke with his 1:10.38 while Lawrence, Klasen, Sheeran and Colton Storseth would have won the 400 freestyle relay in 4:12.16.
In the junior varsity meet, Zach Eystad, Ryan McBrady, Jesse Koch and Levi Dickinson won the 200 medley relay in 2:38.82. Ryan McBrady (1:20.77), Jesse Koch (1:23.69) and Dickinson (1:25.83) went 1-2-3 in the 100 freestyle. Eystad, Jesse Koch, Ryan McBrady and Dickinson won the 200 freestyle in 2:21.21.
The Panthers will host their annual invitational meet Saturday.
