Todd Fritze switched his lineup around and the Park Rapids girls swimming and diving team coasted to a 91-80 Mid-State Conference victory over Staples-Motley Thursday night at the Area High School pool.
Staples-Motley won the 200-yard medley relay to open the meet, but the Panthers dominated the rest of the way in building a 91-53 advantage before swimming exhibition in the final two events.
Brandi Werner (2:06.19), Leah Meinert (2:23.28) and Emily Nelson (2:38.28) went 1-2-3 in the 200 freestyle and Sarah Ament followed with a winning time of 2:32.36 in the 200 individual medley to give the Panthers a 30-14 lead.
Lindsey Kanten took first in diving with 143.05 points and Carly Helfrich (1:14.34) and Melissa Haas (1:22.12) went 1-2 in the 100 butterfly as Park Rapids held a 53-29 lead.
Werner (5:35.29), Alexa Zunich-Andersen (6:37.92) and Kaitlyn Nelson (6:57.13) went 1-2-3 in the 500 free-style before the Panthers went 1-2 in the 200 freestyle relay to push the margin to 83-42. Emily Nelson, Greta Ertl, Meinert and Werner won that relay in 1:57.58 while Ament, Haas, Taylor Ondracek and Zunich-Andersen followed in 1:59.07.

The Panthers, who swam exhibition in the last two events, improved to 6-2 in dual meets this season.
Park Rapids will host Detroit Lakes in another Mid-State Conference dual meet Thursday night.
