Pamela Joyce Cripps, 61, of Vergas died Thursday, May 31, 2007 at the University Of Minnesota Medical Center - Fairview Hospital.

She was born Nov. 12, 1945 to Jon and Ida Mae (King) Lutz in Chicago. She lived in Murphysboro, IL until she was 9 years old and attended a number of boarding schools until she was 14, when she moved in with her parents.

She married John Schultz in Chicago in 1963. They moved to Cass Lake and were caretakers at Stoney Point Resort. Later, they moved to Walker, where she ran a greenhouse and also "Pamela and J's Pick A Pup Kennel."

In 1986, she married William Cripps in Brainerd. They lived in Vergas and she attended Detroit Lakes Technical College to learn to be a chef. She finished her career working at flea markets as B&P Novelties.

Surviving are her husband; children, Dawn (Kenneth) Klier of Nevis, Theresa Elshaug of Motley, Maryanne Schultz and Pamela (LaVern) Pickett, both of Frazee, John Schultz of Detroit Lakes, Corrie (Shawn) Greenleaf of Waubun and Benjamin Cripps of Vergas; 29 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John; granddaughter, Miki; and grandsons, Rowdy and Dominic.

Visitation: 7 to 9 tonight (Wednesday) at Furey Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7 at Furey Funeral Home of Frazee.
