A woman charged with child abuse for reportedly punching her 7-year-old daughter in the face is now facing a child neglect charge after leaving her three young children to go to a bar.
Natasha Red Eagle, 24, and Conrad James Smith, the girl's father, are both facing felony child neglect charges in Cass County District Court for the April incident.
Court documents state:
Police were called to Smith's Fargo apartment in response to a domestic assault involving the two.
Red Eagle told police they left her three children, ages 2, 3 and 7, alone for about an hour to go to a bar. When they returned, Smith assaulted Red Eagle repeatedly, sometimes in front of the children, she told police.

She said Smith slapped, beat, choked and held her down, plugging her nose as he choked her.
Smith, 28 or 29, is also facing a felony aggravated assault charge in connection with the incident.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Red Eagle's next appearance on the neglect charge is scheduled for June 11.
On Thursday, she pleaded not guilty to felony child abuse stemming from a May 1 incident in which her daughter arrived at school with a bloody nose and said her mother had punched her in the face because she was not eating fast enough, court documents and police dispatch reports state.
Her next court appearance in that case is scheduled for July 29.
