A court hearing related to charges against the owners of neglected horses near Perham was postponed from Feb. 11 to March 4, due to adverse weather conditions on the previous date.
Charges were previously filed against the owners of 11 horses taken from a farmstead north of Perham last November.
Assistant County Attorney Heather Brandborg said the animals' owners, Bruce and Allison Breun, previously arraigned, are scheduled to appear in Otter Tail County Court on March 4 at 9 a.m.
Brandborg stated previously that the horse case is, "a lengthy complaint." Charges relate to each of the 11 horses separately, she said.
Otter Tail County deputies had previously obtained a search warrant to gather evidence at the farmstead, and found the horses in need of attention. Assisting with rescue of the horses, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, was the High Tail Horse Ranch and Rescue near Hawley.

Rescuers have said it's been more common to find horses in distress. Last year, the High Tail Horse Ranch and Rescue was close to capacity. Horse owners, last summer, lost many acres of lush pasture due to the drought, and hay prices doubled in many areas.
