One person has died as the result of a single-car accident on a gravel road dividing Crooked Lake and East Crooked Lake in Hubbard County.
The vehicle apparently missed the curve on the road and plunged into Crooked Lake, where it was discovered by a man on his way to work shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday.
It is unclear if there was more than one occupant in the vehicle.
Crews were still on the scene processing evidence after the car was pulled out of the water. It was partially submerged when tow truck operators arrived on the scene.
Hubbard County Sheriff Frank Homer said the roadway has been the scene of another fatal accident several years ago and is a dangerous area.
