WAHPETON, N.D. - An 18-year-old was killed today from injuries sustained in a three-vehicle accident in Wahpeton.
The crash was reported at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol:
A semi truck and trailer hauling sugar beets on Highway 210 was traveling north when it was struck at the intersection of 16th Avenue North by a car driven by the 18-year-old.
The car, headed west on 16th Avenue North from Wahpeton to a business west of the city, spun into a third vehicle after colliding with the semi.

The 52-year-old driver of the semi and a 38-year-old Wahpeton woman driving the third vehicle were taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Breckenridge.
The person killed was taken to Vertin Munson Funeral Home.
The Highway Patrol released no other identifying information.
This is the third farm truck-related accident in the region in a week. Last week a New York Mills woman died following a collision with a potato truck. Sunday a Wadena man died following a collision with a potato truck.
