One injured in Hubbard County motorcycle crash

A Park Rapids man was injured when the motorcycle he was operating collided with a deer on Highway 87.
Brandon Hemenway, 28, of Park Rapids, was riding eastbound on his 1977 Honda motorcycle when a deer crossed the highway north to south. Hemenway was unable to avoid the collision and struck the deer, according to the State Patrol report.
He was transported to CHI St. Joseph’s Health in Park Rapids with non life threatening injuries.
In a separate unrelated accident Monday on Highway 87, one person was injured when their car left the roadway and rolled. The driver was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The driver was not identified and details of the crash were not available through the State Patrol. The one-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 87 about two miles east of Highway 71.
