Filings close Tuesday for vacancies on area city councils and school boards.
Former Park Rapids City Council member David W. Konshok has filed to regain a seat on the council after resigning from the council a year ago.
Konshok filed for a four-year seat. He won election two years ago, served a year, then resigned to avoid a conflict of interest with the city when he unsuccessfully applied for the city administrator position. He is now a county employee.
Pat Mikesh was appointed to fill out Konshok's seat and has filed to run in a special election to fill out the remainder of the term.
Mayor Nancy Carroll has filed to run for a second term. She has no opposition yet.
