FARGO - North Dakota State University's interim president is a semifinalist for president of Bemidji (Minn.) State University and Northwest Technical College.
Dick Hanson is among two semifinalists announced this week for the position.
Other candidates are expected to be announced soon.
The other semifinalist announced this week is Linda Krug, who is on sabbatical as dean of the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Jon Quistgaard, president of Bemidji State and Northwest Technical College, plans to retire this summer.

Hanson applied to be permanent president of NDSU, but a search committee eliminated him from consideration.
