US Sen. Norm Coleman (R-MN) will be attending a reception from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the North Country Museum of Arts (NCMA) in Park Rapids.
NCMA and the Park Rapids Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce are hosting the event. The public is invited to attend.
"Whether it is issues like health care, energy or growing jobs, the meetings I have had with folks across the state has guided my work in Washington ever since taking office," Coleman said.
"Park Rapids is in a beautiful part of the state that has many resources, and I am anxious to not only listen to any concerns people may have, but to hear about the things they are doing to help grow their community.
"My job is made easier through these personal meetings with constituents, and I am anxious for Friday's visit to once again hear from folks in the Park Rapids area."

At his last stop in Park Rapids in November, the Senator visited Teamworks.
The Senator also is visiting Wadena, Grand Rapids and Walker Friday. Saturday, he will participate in the Governor's Fishing Opener on Leech Lake, fishing with two children of a Walker soldier the senator met on his trip to Iraq a few weeks ago.
