Minnesota State University Moorhead reported its first case of H1N1 influenza on Tuesday.
A female student was diagnosed Saturday morning at a Fargo emergency room, said campus spokesman Doug Hamilton.
The student, who lives in the residence halls, isolated herself at her home and did not attend classes, Hamilton said.
She is well and plans to return to class today, Hamilton said.
MSUM and other local campuses are spreading word about how to prevent the spread of H1N1. The university plans to make vaccines available to students in October.
