Another storm system is crossing the Northern Plains and should begin dumping 2 to 3 inches of snow in the Red River Valley this evening, continuing with perhaps another inch Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
There's a 60 percent to 70 percent chance it will drop snow on this region, NWS said.
Snow will continue Tuesday over eastern North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.
Three inches of snow is expected along and north of a line from Grand Forks to Bemidji. Areas to the south could receive two to four inches.
The next chance of measurable snow is Christmas night and Friday.
