A former Lake Park man has been reinstated on probation after being found innocent of three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a 17-year-old girl.
Chanz Bergeman Koby, 23, now a college student in Moorhead, was convicted in 2005 of felony use of minors in a sexual performance. He videotaped two teenage couples engaged in sex acts, according to court records.
In 2005, he was granted a stay of execution of sentence and placed on supervised probation for 10 years.
He was accused last year of drinking with a 17-year-old girl at a Moorhead bowling alley and then bringing her to his residence and engaging in sexual activity with her.
A Clay County jury found him innocent on all three counts on Jan. 7.

But he was brought to Becker County District Court for allegedly violating the conditions of his 2005 probation by having had contact with the 17-year-old in the first place, and for being cited for misdemeanor DWI.
His probation officer said Koby was making progress on probation, but sometimes lacked judgment. For example, he went to WE Fest without first notifying his probation officer. Sex offenders are not generally allowed by probation officers to attend WE Fest.
Koby appeared in Becker County District Court Feb. 25 before District Judge Mark Hansen, who ordered him reinstated on probation and ordered him to serve 60 days in jail, with work release or Sentencing to Service privileges granted at the discretion of the sheriff.
He was ordered to abstain from drugs and alcohol, and not to have contact with any online social networking sites.
