A 32-year-old man had to be extricated from his car after crashing into a traffic light pole early Sunday, Moorhead police Lt. Joel Scharf said.
The crash happened about 5:30 a.m. at 21st Street and Main Avenue. First responders had to cut open the 1992 Cadillac sedan to remove the driver, identified as Christopher Adam Hennen, Scharf said.
Hennen was taken by ambulance to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, where he was listed in guarded condition Sunday afternoon, a spokeswoman said.
He faces a DWI charge for the incident, Scharf said.
