MOORHEAD - Authorities are recommending charges of burglary and property damage against a Moorhead man accused of trashing his ex-girlfriend's home in Felton when she wasn't home.
Michael Wayne Penn, 44, allegedly dumped paint in the house and ran a garden hose into the kitchen, flooding the basement when water seeped through, Clay County Deputy Michael Trygg said.
Penn also allegedly defecated on the woman's bed.
Trygg said the damage discovered Tuesday totaled in the thousands of dollars, rendering the home uninhabitable for the woman and her two young children.
Penn was arrested Tuesday in south Moorhead.
