Police say a Moorhead man held a hunting knife to his girlfriend's throat, placed his hands around her neck and slapped her in the face and head during a domestic assault Sunday night.
Jason Lee Jerger, 36, was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic assault, felony second-degree assault and fifth-degree domestic assault, according to a news release from Lt. Chris Carey.
Officers were called at 6:51 p.m. to the area of 400 Sunset Circle to investigate a domestic incident that occurred at 2409 4th Ave. N.
Jerger was arrested at the apartment complex and taken to the Clay County Jail pending formal charges from the Clay County attorney's office.
