Amanda Mitchell and Ricky Semmler, both of Akeley, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
Parents of the couple are Terry and Wendy Mitchell of Park Rapids and Ron and Nancy Semmler of Akeley.
The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Park Rapids Area High School and a 2011 graduate of North Dakota State University.
Ricky is a 2002 Walker-Hackensack-Akeley graduate and a 2004 Alexandria Technical College graduate.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 3, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Akeley.
