Fortunately for the deer, the landowner just happened to stop at this spot to set up a trail cam when he spotted the deer in distress.

PERHAM, Minn. — Otter Tail County sheriff's deputies freed a deer that had become tangled in a garden hose near Big Pine Lake.

A landowner was checking out his property in the woods, when he found a young buck tangled up in a hose attached to a post.

Deputies Scott Wagner and Nate Selander carefully approached the deer and cut the hose that was wrapped around its antlers.

The landowner told WDAY News that the deer was a little dizzy from running in circles so long, but eventually ran off.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
