Park Rapids' Amy Luther, Heather Tretbar and Katie Carroll hit their way onto this year's Mid-State Conference fastpitch softball team.
Luther batted .351 (13 for 37) in 12 conference games and Tretbar hit .395 (17 for 43) in 12 conference games to earn spots on the 18-member all-conference team. Carroll hit .459 (17 for 37) in 12 conference starts to earn one of the seven all-conference honorable mention spots.
Luther started all 12 games at pitcher or first base. The junior had eight runs, nine RBI, two doubles and four stolen bases offensively and went 2-8 in 11 appearances on the mound, allowing 107 runs (73 earned) on 89 hits and 48 walks with 43 strikeouts in 65 innings.
Tretbar played first base and shortstop in 12 conference games, tallying 10 runs, seven RBI, four doubles, one triple and six stolen bases.
Carroll played shortstop, third base, second base and first base this year and had eight runs, four RBI, six doubles and two stolen bases in the 12 conference games.

The Panthers tied for sixth place in the conference standings with a 2-10 record. Staples-Motley went 10-1 and Detroit Lakes finished at 10-2 to lead the pack. Wadena-Deer Creek and Pequot Lakes both went 7-5 and Perham finished at 3-8. Crosby-Ironton also had a 2-10 record.
The other all-conference players were Shari Berg, Amber Detloff, Chelsea Einerwold and Samantha Rosenthal of Staples-Motley; Steph Wilson, Jayne Johnson and Amanda Adkins of Detroit Lakes; Dani Stoll and Lauri Sczygiel of Perham; Nikki Kneisl, Hanna Bigham and Hannah Askew of W-DC; Kayla Lenz and Olivia Bauman of Pequot Lakes; and Betsy Wehseler and Anna Baratto of C-I.
Joining Carroll as honorable mention players were Brenda Dailey and Brittany Miller of Staples-Motley; Ashley Lund, Alice Branden and Tiffany Thompson of Detroit Lakes; and Randi Cresap of Perham.
Luther - who finished the season with a .353 batting average (24 for 68) with 15 runs and 18 RBI - and Carroll -who batted .429 (30 for 70) with 16 runs and 13 RBI in 22 games - were also named to the 20-member Section 8AA team.
The Section 8AA team also featured Crookston's Amy Burke; Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton's Lacey Hauser, Stacie Drechsel and Kathryn Bergee; East Grand Forks' Jenna Utzinger and Erin O'Neil; Frazee's April Wendt and Jessica King; Pelican Rapids' Kelcey Lass and Devin Arnston; Perham's Sczygiel and Stoll; Roseau's Carissa Erickson; W-DC's Askew; Warroad's Brianne Mosher, Chelsie Christofferson and Kelly Schaible; and Walker-Hackensack-Akeley's Marcy Wildman.
