Michael "Mike" Patrick Quinn, 46, of Nevis died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 at his home.
He was born Jan. 10, 1959 to Patrick and Janet M. (Cliff) Quinn in St. Paul. He graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1978. He attended St. Cloud State University. In 1980, he enlisted in the US Navy. He lived and worked in various cities and countries while in the Navy, including San Diego, Virginia, Africa, the Philippines and Greece.
In May 1981, he married Tamara Olson. He was honorably discharged in 1990 and moved to Minneapolis, where he worked for the Mayflower and North Beltman moving companies. In 1999, he returned to Park Rapids and began working for Straight River Engineering and Manufacturing.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church of Park Rapids.
He is survived by three sons, Nathanial and Nicholas, both of Park Rapids and Morgan of Fargo; his former spouse, Tamara Schaffer of Lamoure, ND; his mother of Park Rapids; two sisters, Theresa (Greg) Junker Quinn of Park Rapids and Lisa (Brad) Hoffert of Detroit Lakes; two brothers, Thomas (Marianne) of Park Rapids and Jeffrey (Henriette) of Bamberg, Germany; one grandson, five nieces and four nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, Hollie and Nettie Cliff, and paternal grandparents, Ambrose and Gertrude Quinn.
Mass of Christian burial: Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Park Rapids.
Honorary casketbearers: Theresa and Greg Junker Quinn, Lisa and Brad Hoffert, Jeffrey and Henriette Quinn, Tom and Marianne Quinn, Shaun Dean, Deb Clark-Fisher and all his nieces and nephews.
Active casketbearers: Al Garner, Ed Eischens, Carrie Dubbelde, Chris Cannon, Jay Schultz and Dennis Jackson.
Interment: Lake Emma Township Cemetery at Lake Emma.
Military honors were provided by the All Veterans Ceremonial Burial Team. Military Taps were provided by Ray Vaadeland.
