Michael "Mick" B. Fankhauser, 40, of Lake George, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008.
He was born Dec. 19, 1967 in Forest Lake.
He attended the Children's Theater Company conservatory school. He had a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and a Doctor of Science degree in social work. He was an EMT, a nurse and taught medical certification classes. He also worked in the kidney dialysis unit at Hennepin County Medical Center.
He spent the last four and a half years as an independent business owner.
He is survived by his partner, Brett, of 14 years; mother, Rae; father, Lanny; a brother, Ted; two sisters: Missy and Alison; two children: Randall and Brooks; one grandchild; and several nephews and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Al.
Memorial service: 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9 at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids.
