No changes were found Monday in the recount of Menahga School District ballots, the $4.35 million building referendum failing by a three-vote margin.
The recount found 695 no votes cast, 692 yes votes.
A recount was requested by Mel Lockhart, who submitted a petition with 29 names, per statutory requirement.
The district qualified for 0 percent interest financing through federal stimulus funds but the opportunity expires in September, superintendent Mary Klamm said.
The stimulus funding deadline had been extended to accommodate the Aug. 10 referendum, she said.

"Now we will have to figure out how to address the needs," Klamm said of the proposed gym, classroom space, locker rooms, and need for handicapped accessibility.
"We'll just go to Plan B," she said Monday evening. "We're creative people. We'll figure something out."
School board members canvassed the results at Monday night's meeting.
The August polling was the third time District 821 voters rejected referendums, which were also proposed in November and April.
