On June 21 at approximately 7:37 p.m., Menahga police responded to a residence regarding a possible violation of an order for protection (OFP). Court documents said authorities spoke to Tina Andreoff, who said her son, Michael Ray Andreoff, 23, of Menahga, violated an OFP she placed on him in May.
Michael Andreoff was required to stay away from Tina and not act in any way that would instill fear or cause harm to her. Michael has a history of physical abuse toward his mother, court documents said.
Tina also said earlier that afternoon she was taking a picture of her mailbox, and Michael started screaming at her and accusing her of taking pictures of his home, court records said. Michael used several obscenities and threatened to "burn down her house with her grandchildren inside."
When authorities spoke with Michael, he denied that he spoke with his mother. He was then placed under arrest for violating the OFP.
Michael faces a charge of gross misdemeanor domestic abuse for the violation. He also has a previous conviction of misdemeanor domestic assault from Sept. 2007, according to court documents.
