Menahga driver rolls car after falling asleep

A single-vehicle rollover occurred at 11:40 p.m. on Sept. 10, according to a Wadena County Sheriff’s Office new release.

Law enforcement and emergency personnel were dispatched to the accident on County Road 23, just south of County Road 18 in Shell River Township.

The driver, identified as Anthony Juntunen, 20, of Menahga stated he was traveling home when he fell asleep and woke up as he hit an approach. The vehicle came to a rest on the driver’s side.

Juntunen was not wearing his seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor, according to the release.
