Two candidates for Menahga city offices withdrew last week during the allowed time.
Interim clerk/treasurer Susie Larson said longtime council member Dennis Komulainen and mayoral candidate Kurt Clark Sr, both withdrew their names for consideration on the November ballot.
In Henrietta Township, the correct filings are as follows:
Supervisor B: Brenda Carpenter;
Supervisor C: Edward "Ed" DeLaHunt, Dacle L. Schmid, Jr.;

Supervisor D: Gary Nasser
Supervisor E: Russell Johnsrud.
No one has filed for the township clerk position that Carpenter currently holds.
"It's an important position," Carpenter said. "You run all the elections."
Carpenter said it has been difficult to recruit candidates "interested in grass roots politics.
"Maybe someone will have a write-in campaign or the board will appoint a new clerk," she said.
