Marilynn Rose McAllister, 79, of Wray, CO died Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at Fort Collins, CO.
She was born Sept. 1, 1926 to Fred and Della (Schlicht) Geidel in Olivet, SD. The family later moved to Ree Heights, SD. In 1941, they moved to Park Rapids. In the late 1940s, she and her sister, Wanda moved to Seattle, WA and welded at Boeing Aircraft for the war ef-fort. She moved to Grand Lake, CO and worked at the Circle H Corral Restaurant waiting tables.
She married Richard McAllister Oct. 7, 1946 in St. Louis, MO. They lived in many locations in Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Washington, Kansas, Texas and Colorado. In Longmont, CO she worked for Dualmatics constructing tops for Jeeps. She drove a mail route for six years. In 1973, they moved to Wray.
She is survived by her husband, daughter, Janet (Jerry) Graham of Wray; two sons, Terry of Burns, WY and Richard of Sterling, CO; two sisters, Wanda Pritchett and Carolyn Dennis, both of Park Rapids; eight grandchildren, two great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Thelma; and three brothers-in-law, Melvin Oines, Ray Dennis and Dean Pritchett.
