Menahga police found a man getting sick on Cottonwood Avenue after his car had been idling there -- in the middle of the street -- for about a half hour, according to court documents. A breathalyzer allegedly showed a blood alcohol content nearly three times the legal limit.

According to the court complaint, on July 30, an officer found Heath Bradley Lacroix, 44, reeking of alcohol and unable to keep his balance as his car sat nearby, running, with the lights on. After failing field sobriety tests, Lacroix, of Big Lake, Minn., was administered a breathalyzer, which showed a blood alcohol content of 0.314, court documents said.

Lacroix was allegedly driving on a canceled license, which was taken from him in July 2009 after his third DWI in three years.

He was charged in Wadena County District Court Aug. 1 with first-degree DWI, a felony, and driving after cancellation, a gross misdemeanor.

His first court appearance was set for Aug. 15.
