A former Park Rapids man will be sentenced Aug. 1 after pleading guilty to having sex with a teenager last summer.
Kevin Leonard, 42, who now lists his address as Big Lake, pled guilty June 18 to one count of Third Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with the Hubbard County teen. In exchange, two other counts were dismissed.
A pre-sentence investigation was ordered along with a chemical dependency evaluation and psycho-sexual evaluation.
Leonard pled guilty to having sexual relations with a teen who was between the ages of 16 and 18 during June and July of 2011.
Leonard has a litany of traffic convictions and was convicted of Disorderly Conduct in a case involving another Park Rapids teen in 2011.

The charge is punishable by a maximum of 15 years in prison and/or a $30,000 fine. Leonard likely would be required to register as a sexual offender with the state of Minnesota.
