CROOKSTON, Minn. – A man was killed when he crashed his pickup truck here after a high-speed chase with police Sunday night.
The witness, who works at a nearby restaurant, told WDAY she recognized the driver as a longtime Crookston resident. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a man was killed in the crash, but his identity and other details were not expected to be released until this morning.
A witness told WDAY-TV that the adult male driver was speeding when he drove into a concrete underpass on Sixth Street. The pickup truck exploded upon impact and burst into flames.
