A 45-year-old man died Sunday evening after the boat he was in apparently capsized on Little Sandy Lake in Roosevelt Township.
According to a press release from the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office:
Wayne Paul Toenyan, address not listed, was in a boat with another individual when the boat capsized at about 6:30 p.m.
Toenyan was found in about 5 feet of water and pronounced dead at the scene by deputy coroners.
The other occupant, who was not identified, was retrieved from the water and taken to North Country Regional Hospital and treated for hypothermia.
