A man was arrested and a passenger cited after a police chase Sunday afternoon north of Detroit Lakes.
Percy Leonard French, 33, of Waubun is facing several possible felony charges, including fleeing a peace officer on a motor vehicle and first-degree DWI.
A passenger, John David Warren, 46, was cited or having a warrant and fleeing on foot. A female passenger was released.
Six Detroit Lakes officers were involved in the pursuit, which begin at about 8:30 p.m. with the report of a late 1990s two-tone pickup truck driving at a high rate of speed southbound on County Road 21 (Richwood Road).
The pursuit involved an abortive stop near Tower Road, in which the driver decided not to stop after all, pulled a U-turn and headed north.

The chase went into a farm field and back onto the road, where the truck was finally forced to a stop. Nobody was injured in the incident.
