Amy Luther pitched a three-hit shutout and drove in three runs in leading the Park Rapids fastpitch softball team to a 7-0 victory at Bagley Friday afternoon.
Singles by Kelli Schweigart and Carly Helfrich and a walk to Danielle Dent set up a two-run single by Luther and a run-scoring grounder by Steph Medved as the Panthers took a 3-0 lead in the third inning.
A single by Dent, a stolen base by courtesy runner Holly Roepke, Luther's RBI single and a run-scoring grounder by Anna Fossen pushed Park Rapids' lead to 5-0 in the sixth.
The Panthers scored the game's final two runs in the seventh on a walk to Leah Moorhouse, a sacrifice bunt by Schweigart, and run-scoring grounders by Heather Tretbar and Helf-rich.
Luther went 2 for 4 to pace the Panthers' seven-hit attack. Luther went the distance on the mound, striking out three and walking one as Park Rapids im-proved to 6-2 on the season.
