Hailey Lundin served five aces to close out Game 2 and followed with another ace to close out Game 3 in leading the Park Rapids volleyball team to a 25-18, 25-21, 25-23 victory over Walker-Hackensack-Akeley at Walker Thursday night.
Shelby Weckwerth's five straight service points gave the Panthers a 15-6 lead in Game 1 as the Panthers coasted to the early lead.
In Game 2, W-H-A held a 21-18 advantage before Lundin served five aces during a 7-0 run to put Park Rapids in command.
Two service aces and six points by Leeza Tostenson gave Park Rapids a 20-14 edge in Game 3 before the Wolves rallied to take a 23-22 lead. An ace serve by Lundin helped the Panthers seal the win.
Hannah Wolff led the Panthers with five kills while Lundin and Tostenson added three kills each. Lundin (11), Weckwerth (8) and Tostenson (8) combined for 27 service points while Maria Goetz had 13 set assists.

Defensively, Weckwerth led the way with 14 digs and Tostenson had 12 digs. Wolff and Olivia Vaadeland had two solo blocks each.
The Panthers had 13 service aces and 16 kills in improving to 1-5 on the season.
Panthers fall to Tigers
Maggie Lindow's 15 kills, six ace serves and three solo blocks led the Nevis volleyball team to a 25-14, 25-21, 25-14 win over Park Rapids in the season opener last Tuesday night.
Riley Hanson added nine kills, Megan Stambaugh had seven ace serves and eight digs, and Erin Walters had six ace serves and 12 digs. Cassie Edwards added 27 set assists and Annessa Feder had seven kills for Nevis.
Lundin and Goetz had two service aces each while Wolff (4) and Lundin (3) combined for seven kills in the loss to Nevis. Lundin (11), Weckwerth (10) and Tostenson (10) hit double digits in digs while Goetz had 10 set assists.
